Dr. George Saunders discovered his passion for optometry during his biochemistry studies at UC Riverside, where he became fascinated by the intricate relationship between eye health and overall wellness. After earning his Doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry, he chose to begin his career at Redlands Eye Medical Group, working alongside some of the region’s most respected corneal and cataract surgeons.
Those six intensive years provided him with specialized training in complex eye conditions that most general practitioners never encounter, from advanced dry eye management to pre-surgical evaluations for patients with cataracts. Now with over three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Saunders has dedicated his practice to combining that surgical-level expertise with the personalized care of family optometry.

Dr. Hernandez is originally from Northern California, and has lived in Southern California since 2005. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from California State University Los Angeles and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Her externship sites include: the Eye Care Institute WesternU Health Los Angeles, Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Tennessee, and private practices in California and Arizona.
